Strong Standalone Agatha Christie Books
Before diving into the detective series it is worth noting that many of the greatest Agatha Christie novels don’t feature her most famous characters.
It’s a standalone mystery which allows you to dive deeply into one bizarre family. Aristide Leonides, the patriarch, is now dead. His much younger spouse is suspected, however, there are many secrets and bitterness in this family, which includes a thirteen-year-old girl who fantasizes about herself as a detective. There are many strong characters in this family. The characters are all very well known to you as a reader. There’s suspicion on almost everyone and it has a thrilling ending.
Christie considers this one of her favorites. The book features a character named “Narrator”, a cursed estate, and an unconventional love story.
Though it is only a play this play is also one of Christie’s most famous works. It’s still on the London stage, having been there since 1952. You might enjoy short stories or novels by Christie that were translated for the stage. Perhaps the second best known is The Witness for the Prosecution , which also became a popular movie.

Agatha Christie’S Best Poirot Mysteries Other That Orient Express
I was eight when I first read Agatha Christie. The return cart of the library my mom owned had And Then There Were None. The image on the cover was an ominous cliff with a spooky face, with a mansion on top of it. It was that simple for me to go and check it out. It was the first book that hooked me.
I was 18 when Agatha Christie died. Then again at 18. When I was 18. Sixty-six detective stories, 14 short story collections and six novels she wrote under her pseudonym. I do not own any of her books. However, there are more than two dozen books about me. Many adaptations of her works have appeared in my life, several times. This includes the Poirot series, which I was able to see with David Suchet. (Spoiler Alert: He truly was the best Poirot. I believe I am an amateur Christie expert. My favorite Christie detective is Poirot. He has a stuffy disposition, his mustaches that are outrageous, and his tiny grey cells. So, it is no surprise that I have confidence in selecting the top Poirot novels. Most people are familiar with Murder on the Orient Express, which was made famous by Kenneth Branagh’s film. It’s only one of the many remarkable cases this Belgian detective has solved. Between 1920 and 1975, he was featured in 33 novels and 2 plays. He also appeared in more than 50 stories. Here are 10 of the books that best represent Agatha Christie’s Poirot.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the publication of Agatha Christie’s first book, which also happens to be the first Poirot novel. From the first page, the Belgian detective charmed the entire world as he probed the murders of Emily Inglethorp. Emily was his friend and helped him adjust to life in England. This movie also includes two beloved characters: Arthur Hastings (insert) and Inspector Japp.
Roger Ackroyd’s murder is the story of this book. He had suffered a lot before his death. But Poirot is in his village, and can help him solve the crime. This is a classic crime novel that’s not only one among the top Christie novels but one of my favorite.
Hercule poirot, a tourist on the Cornish Riviera meets Nick Buckley. She tells Hercule Poirot about several recent deaths she has escaped. He then suspects someone might be plotting to murder her. Will he find out who it might be before it’s too late?
Poirot goes on the search for a murderer who is making England panic. They work through all towns, searching for victims alphabetically. They also taunt Poirot, appearing to be able to read all about him, with letters. But one can only underestimate Poirot for so long…
Helen Strudwick; Julie Dawson (Contribution to); Wolfram Goetzki (Contribution to) Hercule poirot, a successful socialite, meets Linnet Doyle while they are on holiday. Linnet was found dead in her bedroom as the pair continue their journey along the Nile. Before the murderer strikes again, Poirot needs to find out who it is.
