Abstract
Background: An anti-platelet test may be helpful in diagnosing adult immune disorder (ITP), which is an acquired autoimmune bleeding disorder. Childhood ITP has different disease characteristics, and the diagnostic and prognostic value of anti-platelet antibody testing remains uncertain.
Objective: To review the diagnostic reliability of antiplatelet autoantibody testing in children with ITP.
Methods: Pub. EMBASE and Med searched for immunoassays in children's ITP. Quas2 assessed the quality of studies and evidence was synthesized descriptively.
Results: In total, 40 studies (1606 patients) were identified. Nine studies reported sufficient data to determine diagnostic accuracy measures. Anti-platelet immunoglobulin. The G antibody test showed moderate sensitivity (0*36-0*80 plateletassociated Ig. G [direct test]; 0.19 to 0.39 circulating Ig. G [indirect tests] The specificity of the control data from studies including non-immune patients with thrombocytopenia was excellent (0*80-1*00). Glycoprotein-specific immunoassays showed comparable sensitivity (three studies) and predominantly identified Ig. G anti-GP IIb/IIIa antibodies with few Ig. G anti-GP Ib/IX. Anti-platelet antibody Ig. The presence of M antibodies in children was significant (sensitivity = 0*62-0*64, for both direct and indirect testing).
Conclusion: Ig. G and Ig. The rule-in test to determine ITP may use M anti-platelet antibody. Children with inadequate platelets may need indirect tests. ITP cannot be excluded by a negative test. The future studies need to examine anti-platelet test results in patients who have been diagnosed with ITP.
