A lot of grocery and retail shops offer many perks to their employees such as employee discounts, holiday pay, healthcare benefits and gym memberships.
Safeway employees get a discount of 10% on brand-name products and a 5% discount for other brands. This offer is valid until 2022. To be eligible for the employee discount, Safeway employees must have completed their probation and hold an AirMiles Card to swipe at cash registers.
What does a Safeway employee need in order to redeem their discount?
Before they can be eligible for the employee discount, Safeway employees must acquire two essential items.
Before a staff member can receive a discount, they must first complete their probation period. For Safeway, their probation period is 3 months long.
Safeway staff will need an Air Miles card once they have completed their probation.
When staff want to redeem their discount, they can swipe the card at the check-out.
Without an Air Miles card, Safeway staff cannot access their employee discount.
Safeway employees will need to log in with their Air Miles card number on Employee Self Service (ESS) at the Albertsons/Sobeys portal.
Safeway employees have the option to split their discount
Safeway employees have the right to share their discount with anyone in their immediate family.
Both the employee or family member are allowed to redeem the discount as long as their Air Miles card is registered through the Sobeys portal.
